The Reverend Frank Marvin Davis is a product of the Lone Star State of Texas.

Rev. Davis, his wife, Kathy and their children, Letitia, Jevon, Sheriee, Francine and Frank Jr., came to Zion Baptist Church in 1982. He accepted God Almighty’s call to the ministry in June, 1984, under the spiritual tutelage of the late, great Reverend Dr. Wendell T. Liggins.

Following Zion’s loss of Pastor Liggins, Rev. Davis served as interim Pastor and became Zion’s Senior Pastor in July, 1993. As Pastor, he has been faithful in his service to God and to his congregation as a committed shepherd and evangelist. He often states that he is “the happiest Pastor in the world”.

Under Rev. Davis’ pastorate, Zion Baptist Church has initiated many new Ministries, including the Grant Writing Ministry, St. Luke 14:21 Day Project to feed the hungry and homeless, the Job Ministry, the Health Education and Service Ministry, Retirees Ministry and many more. The parking lot adjacent to the church along with the parking lot extension, the "Beautification of the Sanctuary" including new carpet, pews, and pulpit furniture, the restoration of the stained glass windows, the renovation of the kitchen and basement area, the completion of the handicap ramp and new handicap restrooms, new lighting, new sidewalks, wiring and security are due greatly to the pastoral leadership of Rev. Davis.

Rev. Davis is a fluent speaker with extraordinary vitality. He delivers God’s Word with conviction and power. He is dedicated in his service to God and to man. He is a man of impeccable character who is regarded by his congregation and community as a Christian leader of integrity, honesty, and loyalty. This is evident in the office he has held for twelve years as Treasurer of the Western States Baptist Convention. Pastor Davis is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

He is a man of tested ability, sound judgment, and keen perception. Pastor Davis lives by the spirit of Paul when he spoke, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.”
